Online workshop «Anatomy of the True Maiden»
Author: Jie Kong
Anatomy of the True Maiden originates in the Daoist medicine and alchemy and represents knowledge about the female body.
The energy level of the body systems, organs, and blood vessels is the main focus of Anatomy. In our daily life, we do not pay attention to that level, while it is essential for the development of a woman’s nature.
Without understanding and perceiving what is fulfillment on energy level, we cannot advance our practice. Practices for the womb and consciousness form the foundation for comprehension of Anatomy. In case of already existing problems, it is essential to start with unblocking and nourishing those parts. After that, we begin working with proper geometry (structural alignment) and energy circulation in the body.
The practical knowledge about the Anatomy of the True Maiden is rooted in the Daoist alchemy, where meditative practices involve activation of consciousness and body awareness. This knowledge allows us to understand the Daoist anatomy of the woman’s body, as it is explaining the unique characteristics of the female nature.
Unlike a man, a woman’s body initially has a capability for energy conservation. Since the primary function of a reproductive system of a woman is to generate and gather energy. The Anatomy of the True maiden perceives the whole body through connection to the womb. Consequently, all internal organs are oriented to the uterus, which creates unique conditions for an alchemical work. Age plays an essential role as every lifecycle differs in its characteristics.
