The integral nature of the feelings is like a bouquet with many colors and fragrances of different flowers. We create this bouquet through the expression of our mind and emotions.

Feelings are indicators for our body of the physical and energy levels of reality. We form our preferences for particular senses based on bioenergetic processes that happen in the brain.

Senses nourish us, our body, and consciousness, creating specific behavioral patterns of liking or disliking. The integral nature of feelings concept states that we form various decisions based on the physics and energy of processes that we call senses. Understanding the integrality of feelings helps us to apprehend personal development from the conscious attitude towards our emotions.

Emotions are subjected to the hermetic principle of polarity; that is, understanding and expression of feelings are two different processes. Recognition of these processes is the first step in understanding the integral nature of feelings.  Depending on what feeling is activated, we will express it or will be challenged by it. However, mostly, our emotions have a chaotic nature: they come from somewhere and go into nowhere, following the disorganized pattern.

Our daily feelings, such as anger, fear, sadness, or just being contemplative, create in us a specific pattern of breathing, pulsation, changes in experiencing chill or warmth. Very often, these internal processes occur unconsciously.  And if these states or, in other words, forms of consciousness affect us,  then any personal development will become an extension of these unconscious patterns. A simple example of such an outcome is when you have a desire to be higher and better than others.

From seemingly insignificant forms of behavior, these internal processes grow into significant forms of expression, such as a trust or even love. It is not terrifying to feel assurance or love, but the foundation of these feelings lies in the unconscious processes. It can become later a significant obstacle in a person’s awareness.

That is, the integrity of feelings determines our internal and external manifestation. We either can be closed or open in our perception. Being open means to go into the unknown and explore it. Closeness means taking thoughts and feelings for granted. This process becomes a kind of manipulator, forcing a person to accommodate rather than actualize his relationship to personal practice.
