African Alchemy

African Alchemy is an area of Alchemical Art that we can safely call superior in terms of the possibilities for operating energy, the body, and the mind. It is represented by the African continent—or rather, by African mentality—and is the most complex science for people with a different mindset (e.g., a European one).

This branch of alchemy is characterized by the highly complex technological process of transforming energy and is connected to special brain regions. Not only do these brain regions need to be activated, but they also need to fall within the laws of operating Axé energy, which is an impactful force aggregated in our space. Axé represents the blood of the space, and it helps connect with various forces (Orisha) and makes it possible to free the spirit of man from slavery.

African Alchemy endows people with special abilities, but it first and foremost allows people to reunite with their spirits. African Alchemy is the art of presence, it is the high quality of the vital principle that feeds the connection of the impermanent to the timeless.

African Alchemy is a manifestation of the hidden energy of the highest level of human existence; it gives Axé a home inside of us and organizes our lives based on spiritual principles. For humans, the highest purpose is the ability to maintain a connection to Axé—only then can we become sacred vessels connected to divine power.

African Alchemy is based on two main functions: sacrifice and offering. The physical is governed by spirituality. It is a sacrifice achieved through the process of transformation, which serves as an offering. If we want to reach a state of mysterious presence, it is important to learn how to manage our will, develop our body, and be able to abstain.

African Alchemy is the art of continuously remaining in a state of creation, when everything you have in your hands becomes a sacred object. In this case, our name will manifest itself and will, therefore, have the power to communicate with the space and overcome the laws of finitude. Only by manifesting your name can you comprehend your heart, and only by comprehending your heart can you comprehend your consciousness. Consciousness is our true body. It changes according to the order of our internal connections, and its content depends on our functions.

African Alchemy has many names that come from the art of movement in the rhythm of development and strengthening. This grants the power to free oneself from internal slavery. African Alchemy is a path to inner freedom. We live surrounded by different forces—visible and invisible, manifested and hidden. We need skills to escape from external dependencies, and we need strength to avoid slavery and servitude. Human nature requires transformation, after which there will be no limits to its development.

African Alchemy teaches us to listen to our spirit at all times, to respect and honor it. When we are born, we find ourselves in an environment that is mysterious to our minds but natural to our bodies. Then begins the movement either toward life or toward death. African Alchemy is important for us to break free from our ignorance of this game, emerge from the darkness of our existence, and change the way we see our existence. Without this change, we will face a battle between ignorance and narrow-mindedness, anger and envy, lies and hypocrisy, aggression and intolerance.

Without the knowledge of African Alchemy, we will become entangled in our movements, confused by our thoughts and get lost in our own words. We will be nothing but pieces of meat that we cook ourselves, governed not by our minds but by our hunger, frying ourselves up with low-quality actions, emotions, and manifestations that resemble not human nature but the nature of a beast that does not believe in itself and that succumbs to a finite life. That is why it is important not only to see an African in yourself but also to preserve it. Only then can we become the creators of our own actions. To an African, everything is action, everything is Axé.

Why is African Alchemy important for us? Because it is the ultimate mentality, setting the pace for everything else. It is the starting point, and all living creatures develop along its principle: the earth, human beings, and the macrocosm. The African continent not only birthed humanity, but it also created human development: it is a place of transformation for Africans themselves as well as for all other nationalities.

Divine manifestation on this continent is something very special, for the supreme god is rhythm. Rhythm, in fact, is another name for African Alchemy. At any rate, it is the true language of African Alchemy. That’s why there are so many forms of representation of gods, masks that are not figurative concepts but the functions of the representation of Axé, the pulse of life. These forms create all the arts and actions aimed at expressing vitality and reflecting the endlessness of some things and the narrowness of others.
